Summarize:
This document will describe how to install/configure the static IP address while installing Rogers’ modem. The process of configuring a static IP address in a Rogers modem may vary based on the modem model and firmware version. However, the general steps to configure a static IP address are as follows:
Step 1 – WAN + LAN Setting
*Access the Router’s Web Interface (IF Rogers’ tech does not complete this step, then, SB tech needs to do this part.
Rogers ModemRouter (Rogers’ technician needs to set up)
*Router’s admin credentials should be provided by Rogers technician
To configure your Rogers modem.
Connect your computer to the Rogers modem using an Ethernet cable or via Wi-Fi.
1.Open a web browser on your computer.
In the address bar, type the default gateway IP address. This is typically one of the following: 192.168.0.1 If none of these work, refer to the router’s manual or have a look at the back of Rogers modem – sticker part; for the WiFi credential.
IF none of above, then, Google should be the best option.
Step 2: Log in to the Router’s Web Interface
You’ll be prompted to enter the router’s username and password. The default credentials are usually printed on a sticker on the router or provided in the user manual. Common default values are:
Username: admin (should be provided by Rogers)
Password: password or admin (should be provided by Rogers or check the stickers on modem)
Step 3: Locate the Static IP Settings
Once logged into the admin panel, navigate the router’s web interface to find the Static IP configuration settings. The exact location of these settings varies depending on the router model and firmware version. Look for options like “LAN,” “Network,” or “DHCP Server.”
If Rogers Technician does not support the default LAN set up, then, please refer to the following.
