Overview of the Content on This Page

On this page, you will find a step-by-step guide for the initial configuration of a WiFi router. It will walk you through the necessary steps to set up your router, including connecting it to your modem, accessing the router’s settings interface, and configuring essential settings such as network name (SSID) and password. Following these steps will ensure that your WiFi router is properly configured and ready to provide wireless connectivity.

The initial configuration has already been completed by the ISP and your system administrator. Therefore, all you need to do is connect the “WiFi Router” to your Modem in the specified order. It is important to note that skipping or missing any of the required steps may result in the router not functioning properly.

Step1:
1. Connect the power cable to your WiFi Router and wait until the top blue light stops blinking. Once the top blue light on your WiFi Router stops blinking and remains steady, it indicates that your WiFi Router is ready to communicate.

Step 2:
Connect the WiFi Router to your ISP modem. Once connected, the second orange light on the WiFi Router will change to blue and remain steady. This indicates that your WiFi Router is successfully sending and receiving signals without any issues.

Step 3:
The WiFi Router should start populating the signal. To connect to the WiFi network, open the Wireless adapter settings on your device. Click on the “Network adapter” icon located near the Windows clock, and then click on the arrow icon to open the list of available WiFi networks.

You will be able to find two accessible SSIDs (Wi-Fi Names) available:

  1. Simply ON 2.4 <——- SB member only
  2. Simply ON 2.4 Guest <——– Guest

Additionally, there is a hidden SSID called “Simply ON 5.0“, which is exclusively for SB staff use.

The passwords for the Wi-Fi networks mentioned are securely shared through the Keeper Security App. Please access the app to retrieve the respective passwords for each SSID.
